hi, since it seems the best way to make money is to open your own buisiness.Would it be worth it to take the school that offers an associates degree? for the extra buisiness classes, and general ed? or go with the 7 month school that focuses on medical with no extra classes? the 2 schools i'm comparing r allied medical school, and mccann buisiness school. thanx 4 your help.

I think that if you have the chance to take extra business classes go for it! Especially if you are thinking of opening your own place. It definatly couldn't hurt, every little bit helps you know.

I just had a cliet today that I had this discussion with, he has been a very successful business man. I just got back from a continuing education class yesterday, and he was asking me about it. So i told him a little bit about it, and he proceeded to tell me a story. He has two sons, you know how when you are young you don't want to take advice from your parents. Well, he thought they were just pulling his chain when they were both home for a few days and said they wanted some advice. Their question was "How do we become successful?" He thought a little bit and gave them a few different answers.
1. You will always have a boss in life...If you are working for someone they are your boss...if you own your own place your customers are your boss...if you are married your spouse is your boss... WHATEVER YOUR BOSS ASKS YOU TO DO, DO IT AND THEN SOME.
2. Continuing Education is the key, things change so fast now days you have to keep up on the times. Even if you didn't really get anything out of the class, it still motivates you mind to keep working.
3. Put any suggestions into prospective, anything somone tells you that can make your job better for the client is always worth a try, you don't have a business if you don't have clients!

This is what happened within the following 6 months

The oldest son works with computers, he calls up his father and says you are never going to believe this...I got a $10,000 raise!! He is # 3 out of 10 in his group. His boss told him the reason why he got the raise was because he always does everything they ask and more. (That was about 4 months after his success talk with his father)

A couple months later his younger son calls and tells his dad he hates his job, he has a batchlors degree and is working at a college running arrends and fetching coffee. He says he doesn't was to keep working like this. So his dad and brother suggest...since you are there at that college why don't you take a class or two it couldn't hurt. So he takes a computer class, the office he is working in is having problems with their computors and ask him for help. He fixes all of their pc problems. Then goes to get a new job that he likes and is going to take more classes to advance in his profession. He still talks to and visits his old co-workers from the college.

I'm sorry this was such a long reply but i thought it was a GREAT example for your question........Hope this helped.
