I have recently received, via email via nationwide massage, a request from a man in the U.K. who wants to book 1 1/2 hour massages for 4 days straight in mid December. He does not seem to care where I am located. I quoted him a price and he agrees and says he wants to send me money. He has asked for my name, address and phone number. I am wary of this, something seems wrong. I am wondering if any of the other members have received emails from him and if so what do you think is going on?
thanks, healingdeva

I havn't gotten any e-mails like this, but i don't think I would give out my info. To me that just seems like a strange request but that may just be us!
So he is just coming to the states and didn't have a location chosen before he e-mailed you? That is strange!

Hi Healingdiva,
I also received this email - sounded strange to me so I googled his name and found several sites about fraudulant emails connected with this name. ( you'd think he'd be smart enough to change his name when scamming people!) I then contacted another MT in my area who is also listed on this site, and she too received this email. I have emailed the admin of this site to warn them that businesses on this site may be being targeted for scams - I was hoping they would send out an email to all members to warn them.
I hope others read this and don't give out any info to this guy!
here's some of the links I found on this creep:

Hope this helps.

There are many different scams running on the Internet, but the most popular ones involve a "client" from a remote area, who tries to hire you by sending you a Bank Cashiers Check. The check is made for a larger amount than the one you quoted, and the "client" who acts as if it was an innocent mistake asks you to send the difference back in a check of your own. An unsuspecting vendor might send the difference to the "client", only to find out later that the original Cashiers Check was forged and the bank has charged back the deposit.
I think this is what the guy who wanted to book the massages and pay in advance was up to.
I also received this email. I said I'd go ahead and book him (which I did), but I put him on the back-burner. I assumed he wasn't legitimate. Needless to say, he was a no-show.
